FUTO ICT centre on fire

The ICT centre of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) was on fire

According to reports, the Information and Communication Technology centre of the Federal University of Technology Owerri went engulfed in flames in the late evening of yesterday.
There was evacuation of inflammable substances and other important materials.

At the time of this report the cause of the fire could not be ascertained. According to an observer, only a section of building is on fire as the school had seek the attention of relevant authorities to intervene.
Officials of Nigerian Fire Service arrived the scene with several truck to put off the fire which continued despite heavy rainfall but quenched the fire eventually.
