Before you think of running a Blog
Blogging is a cool activity everyone can do. It can be your
hobby; it can be your work-from-home job or whatever…
But there are certain things to thinking of before running a
blog. One might neglect them but they are necessary.
1.
Do you like what you want to do
So many bloggers started and failed on
their way because they actually don’t like what they are doing. Some went into
blogging because of popularity; some went into blogging because of Google Ad,
Advertising, Affiliate and Marketing Programs etc. So, they drop on the way when
they couldn’t reach to their expectations.
To be a successful blogger, you have to love what you do.
2.
What type of topics will you like to blog
It’s best to blog on articles or areas you
like to talk about or have interest on; articles or areas you have knowledge on
or studying. On that base, you won’t feel bored communicating with your
audience.
3.
Can you think big?
People like new things, new ideas, new informations...
Now you have selected the type of topics or
areas you would like to blog; the question now is: How far you can think on
your area of interest? How broad can you write on that article? Don’t be a copy
and paste blogger. Remember, great men are great thinkers. You can be a great
blogger. Think Big!
4.
Who are your audience?
You might be have passed the above and fail
here.
Your audience (people reading your blog) is
very important. You might be blogging on politics but sharing you posts with
people that who doesn’t have interest on politics spoils everything. Of course,
they won’t like to read your blog. Always target the right audience.
5.
The type of blog you want to run determines your
host
There are two major hosts for blogging.
Blogger and Wordpress.
If you want to run a blog of many different
types of topics (complex blog), I recommend you to use Wordpress; otherwise use
Blogger. Also, if you don’t want to stress yourself blogging or you don’t have
any idea on web languages, use Blogger. If you want a good looking and standard
blog, use Wordpress. Wordpress is just more advanced compared to Blogger.
6.
Advance techniques
It will be quite pretty if you can learn any
web language like HTML, CSS etc. That makes you a guru.
