How I came up with the song Fleximol_Xboss
During an interview with Xboss (Clinical Rap Lord) in

Below was his response:
“Ammmmmm... That’s a long story…
Well, a get together was organized for pharmacy students in UNIUYO
titled “Pharmaco-Fleximol” which held on the 17th of august 2016. We
are meant to attend the program (party) so as to ease us from the stress from
the department. I was busy with other stuffs when both fans and colleagues started
insinuating, that I should perform on that day; but I didn’t want to buy the
idea because I have not performed on stage before so I didn’t want to make a
mess of myself especially in front of my crush and fans who always call me “Clinical
Rap Lord” even when they have not seen me rap, they only read my rhymes on Facebook
and other social media.
Later some artist came to me saying the only way to officially express
yourself as an artist is by performance, I thought about that and I saw it was
cool, so I never cared about failure since it’s the first attempt in learning.
On the 15th of august 2016 I decided to write a song that I will use
for the performance and I was confused because of the time interval and I needed
to give my fans that first good impression...
What should be the content of the..? I don’t know! Until one cool
evening after I saw some of my crazy female fans, they reminded me of how I use
to rhyme with pharmaceutical words that they wish I will rap on the D day. I like
being different, so I got the Idea to sing about the title of the program.
I started with the chorus first and saw that it was awesome because it contained
Rx words and my colleagues will like it. One good thing about me is once am
done with my chorus and am pleased with it, writing my verses won’t be a
problem because as a scientist we draw our conclusion from the hypothesis down
to the theory (I draw my rap from my chorus). That’s why I don’t rhyme off
point.
That I don’t rhyme of point doesn’t mean I got no problem. My major
problem is after penning down my verses, I start having the thought of editing
them to add something perfect. I was supposed to record the song on the 16th
of August 2016, but because of that it was delayed, so I thought I won’t
perform again; I gave up. Next morning I went to school for lectures but I wasn’t
happy because I thought I was going to disappoint their first trust and the
program was to catch fire by 4:00pm.
Thank God for African time. I recalled about African time; I rushed to
the studio by 3:30pm and started
recording. We had to rush it up and finished by 6:25pm; thinking the party was
over not knowing that they have not started. Joy! Joy! My soul was filled with
Joy. At last, I won’t disappoint my caring fans.
The floor is now officially open said the MC. Immediately after the
opening prayer, I was tensed. I sat to watch others perform, I quickly told my
close fans that I don’t think I will be able to perform again; they said no
that they got me covered. I was the last to perform since I am the only
pharmacy artist and my department was the organizer. Miss pans accompanied me
up to the stage. It was amazing so I started with fear down to courage and
finally to entertainment. The fans sang along; wow I thought that was all until
I saw some school officials coming up the stage while I was still performing
and spread me the money.
Hmmm, if that’s the case I must perform again.”
